The design of the home was very much influenced by our clients’ existing art collection with dramatic colour drenching used in lesser used areas like the bathroom and utility. However, it is that bespoke joinery which is the main star of the show in this home. Stainless steel kitchen units open to reveal hidden solid oak workspaces. The kitchen island is build upon a fully mirrored plinth which gives the impression of floating.Custom-crafted curved paneling and wardrobes were designed to soften transitions and improve flow within the home's tighter footprints. The kids rooms have hidden doorways and portholes to the exterior courtyard. All of this is balanced with vintage freestanding furniture to echo the contrast between old and new. Every element was sourced to work harmoniously with the protected features of the original structure.

"After working closely with Emily Cunnane, they’ve achieved striking a balance between a classical look and feel in the shared living rooms on the upper floor and a more playful approach and vibrant colours at the basement level."
