Despite fully reworking floor plans on both levels, this project prioritises art (over 50 pieces curated in total), materiality and craftsmanship over vast structural change. Rather than constructing too many new partitions, we defined zones using timber screens, drapery and sweeping chainmail dividers. This approach preserved openness and natural light while introducing layered, characterful breakout areas across both floors. Tactile surfaces were a key part of the design, like walls clad in handmade tiles from Liverpool, hand-knotted rugs installed vertically instead of traditional acoustic paneling, and custom paneling and joinery carefully crafted locally. A curated mix of vintage pieces, handcrafted furniture and refined office furnishings adds authenticity and personality to this creative East London space.
