With beautiful high ceilings and a view of the sea, this bedroom had a lot going for it, but did also have a lot of unused space. Balancing vibrancy and restfulness was key in its design. Custom joinery separates the room into two main areas; one very calming space overlooking the terrace, while behind the bed is a functional dressing area. Paint was banded as far as the top of the doors to help the room feel more snug, and custom Elisa Pacino tiles were commissioned, which line the window to the right of the terrace doors. On shelves there are busts made by the homeowner’s sculptor grandmother.

"Emily obviously has great listening skills when trying to understand what her client wants, but she also brings so much of her own thoughts, cultural and travel influences, and knows when to gently stand her ground. So we loved the outcome and the beautiful room she designed for us, but we also loved the process. "
